Adobo Dinner

Adobong Pusit (Squid)
  • 1/2 kilo squid (white kind)
  • 1 pc. onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. olive or canola oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • leeks for garnishing

Clean and wash the squid then slice into half. In a pan, heat the cooking oil, saute onions and garlic. Add squid, put salt, stir occasionally and simmer for 2 minutes. Add water and let it boil. Add vinegar, pepper and soy sauce.Simmer for 2 minutes. Cooking seafood like squid should not take long time to avoid it becoming rubbery. Garnish with leeks. Serve hot.
