Caldereta Dinner

This caldereta (stewed meat) was prepared by one of my favorite restaurant in the mall. Its been months ago since I tasted their caldereta specialties. I had this goat meat caldereta in thick creamy sauce with potato slices, bell pepper and green peas. Yummy taste, great cooking!

Sweet Temptations

Cute, yummy sweets in different flavors! These were some of the little cake desserts that were served during the office blessing and inauguration. Everybody feasted with these sweet little temptations of carrot , ube and leche flan . The celebration was filled with sweetness of these yummy little cakes.

Hungry for Dinner


I went home and cooked early last night because I was feeling hungry from work . There was a slice of beef in the ref so i thought of making an easy and fast to cook meal. I sauteed the beef in onions and garlic and added some vegetables like eggplant and patola. The broth just tasted good that it relieved my hunger for the night. Simple but healthy meal to try.

Sunday Chips

I was strolling in the grocery of a nearby mall on sunday afternoon with my sis. We were not a junkie eaters and it was a long time since our last crunch of chips. I found this smoky BBQ flavored Pringles quite appealing so I bought it for a crunchy try. Crisps and yummy flavor ! The trying intentions were just worth it. I think only the canister will remain in the shelf when I'll be home later.

Avocado and Banana Fruits in Cream

Bananas are considered an all year round fruit here while avocado is available in season just these past months. I thought of making a blend of these two fruits. Just sliced them into bite sizes then combine all together. Pour some mixture of salad cream and keep chilled for an hour before serving. A simple and healthy fruit dessert to make that your family would truly love to eat.

Yummy Cake

Another favorite of mine , Butter Cake by Goldilocks. I bought this before going home the other night from their stall in the mall. The cake is so yummy! The dough is soft and creamy in every bite. I ate this in slices only and had various drinks as partners like orange juice, mango juice or iced tea. I would consider this as one of the best cake for some sweet cravings.

Pork in Langka and Vegetables

I cooked this yummy pork in langka (young jackfruit) and vegetables for dinner. Langka is boiled until tender then set aside. Lean pork sauteed in garlic & onions stirred until golden brown. Add some water and put boiled langka. Simmer until the pork is cooked well done. Salt & seasonings to taste. I added green leafy vegetable of kangkong for this menu. Serve hot. Simple and healthy meal for the plate.

Weekend Grill

Pan Grilled Tuna Belly

A mouth-watering meal over the weekend at home. Weekend is the only time where I can concentrate in my cooking passion. I bought this fresh tuna belly and marinated in seasonings and spices for hours. This is to make sure that the tuna absorbed all the flavorings before grilling time. Pan grilled until golden brown making sure that the fish is cooked well done. I prepared sliced cucumber as side dish and dipping of vinegar with chili, onions & soy sauce. Great taste! I would love to cook this meal next time again.

Ground Beef in Vegetables Meal

I got a chance to cook this meal last night at home-- ground beef in vegetables. Saute onions and garlic then add ground beef. Simmer for 15 minutes then add the vegetables like sayote, gabi and green leafy kangkong. Do not over cook the vegetables to retain its flavor. This meal just paved away my stress from hard day's work. Tastes great & healthy.

Oatmeal Cookies

I was craving for some cookies the past days. During the weekend, I bought these yummy oatmeal cookies from Cecils, one of my favorite pastry & snack place. Freshly baked crisp cookies topped with some raisins. My sweet little indulgence of happiness.:)

Lunch Meal at Home



My weekend was great. I just stayed at home and cooked this homemade menu of boiled mongo beans with shrimps, banana heart and malunggay. I did not use any oil in this menu but instead boiled and simmered the ingredients. This is a weekend of healthy meal.

Yummy Hopia

Mung Beans Cake

This Hopia (Mung Beans Cake) was given in the office as a pasalubong . It is made from mung beans, sugar, corn oil, wheat flour, water and salt. There were actually many flavors of this kind that I have tasted like pandan and ube. It really tastes good. No wonder these 4 little rounds were gone in an instant at home. :)

Favorite Spread


There were various bread spreads on my grocery list and this peanut butter is always present. I love eating this spread made from ground peanuts . Just perfect for any kind of bread. There is that deliciously creamy taste of the peanut butter that makes it a popular food to all. For sure this jar won't last long on my food shelf.

Sweet Evening

I stayed up late last night and spent time cooking this sweetened bananas in coco milk. I used the muscovado kind of sugar because of its great taste and color. It is also known as the healthy kind of sugar. Bananas (saba kind) were boiled in coconut milk and sugar until the sauce thickened. This is an all-time favorite yummy dessert.

Afternoon Shake

I love the comfort of sipping this avocado& banana shake at home. The fruity combination of avocado and banana blended together with evaporated milk and some crushed iced. Yummy & great weekend cooler!

Lunchtime Again


Steamed Dilis with Eggs

This is one of the family's favorite menu. I bought the very small kind of dried dilis in the supermarket for this meal. The fishes were washed thoroughly in water and drained. In a cleaned banana leaf, put the drained dilis then add some sliced onions, leek and tomatoes. Add little salt. Beat 3 pieces of eggs and pour on the mixture. Seal in tight the leaf then put in a casserole with just enough water and steamed for 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately.
