The lean beef is marinated in spices and seasonings like salt, pepper, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, onions and garlic. Deep fried in hot oil and sliced into bite pieces. For the egg, you can have it sunny side up or scrambled. Serve this with either fried or plain rice. Yummy!

Lanzones Fruit in Season

Lanzones is another fruit in season here in the city. I bought these yesterday in the fruit market and was glad to savor the fruit that blooms just once in a year. The price per kilo is very cheap and the fruit is very juicy and sweet. According to the vendor this is the native kind of lanzones and guaranteed for its sweet juicy flesh. Lanzones is like the grapes of the tropics. A very healthy and refreshing fruit to savor this season.

Rambutan in Season

I love eating fruits and glad to bought these juicy rambutan in the fruit stand yesterday. This fruit is in season at this time. A tropical medium size tree that has fleshy fruit in sweet and sour taste. Rambutan is widely cultivated in some rural areas here and when it is in season the price is very cheap hence a good opportunity to eat up to your hearts content. I hope to buy again tomorrow, maybe 2 kilos of these rambutan. :-)

Healthy Dinner

This meal made of fish and vegetables like okra, patola and pechay delighted my dinner yesterday. It is very easy and healthy kind of food to prepare at home. I would always love to eat fish and vegetables because of the good benefits from eating these kind of alkaline foods.

Yummy Oatmeal Cookies

Grocery shopping is always fun and finding some yummy stuff like these Quaker Oats oatmeal cookies is more exciting. Cookies in honey and raisin flavors that are crisp and crunchy to bite . I think I have to buy another cookies before going home tonight and make it a part of my daily snacks.

Grilled Dinner

My weekend was great! I was able to give my self a total break from the past week's stress. I enjoyed cooking this yummy Hickory Smoked Pork. The procedure was so easy. For this meal I use grill mates seasoning mix and marinated the pork chops for 6 hours. Then grilled it well done. This is an American way of cooking steaks. It gives that sweet, hickory-smoked, hot-off the grill flavor to beef, pork or chicken. It imparts the light hickory flavor to grilled delights as it gives a wonderful blend of authentic herbs & spices. Great taste!
