PDF Search Engine

Cooking is always my personal passion and I always widen this craft using the internet. I learned so many things about cooking online and the pdf search helped me a lot on it. I am able to explore more topics on culinary like stewing, spices, seasonings, meat products, cooking styles and procedures, international cuisine and many more interesting ideas. I never had a hard time online because the search engine is user friendly. You can access it easily without any hassle. I can remember I searched a cook book through the site and I accessed it immediately in just a few minutes. You can checked out also some relevant searches on different countries on the site. For sure Anne, Raymund and Myla would be interested to know about this because they are also web enthusiasts just like me. With many important topics or ideas in mind, knowing about it is no longer a problem this time. You can check out the website for more details now.

Chopsuey Friday

It is Friday again and this seafood chopsuey is my menu for today. Fresh shrimps and squid sauté in onions and garlic. Add vegetables - carrots, cauliflower, chicharo and  sayote. The vegetables should not be overcooked to retain crispness. Season with salt, pepper and soy sauce. Serve while hot. A healthy and delicious menu that I can always cooked either for lunch or dinner. Have a yummy Food Trip Friday to all!

Fresh Catch

I went to the wet market early Sunday morning and had a chance to bought these fresh sea foods. Grouper (lapu-lapu) and dangit fish were present in the market at a very affordable price. I immediately bought some for over a kilo that costs P220 only. I had it cleaned and scaled by the vendor to be ready for cooking at home. There are many delicious ways to cook these fish. You can have sour broth, sweet and sour or  fish fillet the grouper while the dangit can be deep fried or grilled together with spicy dipping. Fresh catch that made my Sunday cooking enjoyable at home.

Breakfast Cereal

I like eating cereals for breakfast. One morning I tried this corn flakes, food stuff prepared from the starchy grains of cereal grasses. It is crispy and delicious when I added with fresh milk. This is one good source of fiber from the cereal and vitamins from milk. My other siblings also joined me with this hearty breakfast cereal.

10 words / Phone System / Technology

I had a chance to talked to my dear friend Julie yesterday using the phone systems that I newly subscribed. We have not heard from each other for the past months and keeping in touch with her and so this call  would require more time for our chats. My new phone system is very good. I never experienced any hard time on the connection. The clarity of voices as well as the signal are very sharp. Connecting overseas is so easy and Julie is just hand reach from me. Our conversation lasted for two hours.Well thats what friends are for and in spite of the distance from Philippines to the US our chats never ends. I update her about my new passion and skills in cooking. She also shared to me  her new recipe from an Italian cook book that she newly purchased from a bookstore. The advancement of the modern technology is very useful as it connects distances and bridging people's lives together.

Yellow Stew

Last Monday I cooked this yummy beef caldereta (beef stew). Choice cuts of beef were stewed in caldereta sauce for 2 hours until very tender. Then I added potatoes and carrots. Seasoned with salt, pepper and seasonings then garnished with bell pepper.  The attractive yellow color of the caldereta in a serving dish was perfect for rice and that makes my lunch time complete. One yummy yellow meal!

Milka from Lyn

It was so thoughtful for my friend Lyn to share to me her chocolate. Milka Alpenmilch bar chocolate from Germany. I tasted it at home and it's so yummy and creamy! Real milk chocolate bars that are so irresistible in every bite. As soon as opened it is important to keep the chocolate in the refrigerator to prevent from melting. Thanks Lyn for the sweet thoughts!

Thin Spaghetti

One of the key ingredient when I cooked spaghetti bolognese last week was this San Remo thin spaghetti. A pasta made in long strings that can be easily cooked in 10 minutes and stays firm  al dente. When cooking it really pays to use quality ingredients for delicious results.

Crispy Belly

I cooked this crispy pork belly a.k.a lechon kawali as an added appetizer for dinner. Choice cuts of pork belly were marinated in spices (salt, pepper, chopped garlic), simmered, then deep fried in very hot oil until crispy golden brown. The meat is very tender and the ingredients blended well with the taste. Yummy even with out sauce or dippings.
